BUMP. September is getting close... Any decision taken on having a tournament, and which dates in that case?

Wait, what? 'joni's law'? Hahaha, I have on memory of having said that :D! Though it definitely sounds like something I would have said =).

Cheers!

Re: Arbiter languages, translators needed

I hear your call for translations and am working on translating Arbiter in Albanian (just for fun mostly, I don't think the impact on the community would be that huge :D).

Cheers!

Re: The Clone must go

Wow! the first officially accepted Minesweeper Clone is about to be banned! That sure is historical... I remember the times when it was more or less the only accepted clone (I'm actually not sure if the IMC didn't accept Arbiter at all, or just looked very suspiciously at everyone who posted times o...

Re: A 2011 Tournament in Scotland Again?

Scotland was nice, but i won't make it this time. So have fun! Keep me posted on the Zurich one when you decide the dates ;). Btw Tommy, I am actually visiting Switzerland in June to participate to FEATS (Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies) in Geneva, 10-13th of June. I won't be pa...

Re: MSLive Tournament 2010

Nice to hear we're finally nearing the end of this championship :D. Below is an answer to [name removed]call for feedback regarding it ;) I did not participate in this Minelive tournament as a player, but i did in the previous one, and though i can't call myself as the organiser of that one, i was q...

Hahaha! i can say the issue i had was adressed and I'm satisfied with the change :D
As a result the smiley now looks definitely HIGH instead :D. I like the symbolical evolution there too  ... He's just left "dull and polluted" Ukraine for an Amsterdam coffee shop.

Re: Icon of Arbiter (updated)

i like the idea with brushing up the arbiter icon :) as the old one that is there now is way too blurred. There is sth with the "smile" of the new one that doesn't really appeal me though. If you look at the original icon (in big format on the "about" page) the smiley is in quite good mood. He seems...

Re: UK Tournament - 20 June 2009

Safer place hahahah you're afraid of any atentat? I think the more open the discussion the easier for people to meet in the same place later. I have no idea where i'm staying (I noticed Damien hasn't really answered my questions as to where these places are locate) and i am open to proposals... dorm...

great to hear that Bertie!

i'm going to the embassy on Monday... let's see what they have to say.

@alex: i doubt you "need" to register at all, as long as you get there before the tourney starts =)

combining guestbook and forum

We have a forum on this site at last and i think it's a really good thing and we should use it :). Since change in general doesn't happen by itself we need to actively promote the forum... One way i thought of is that because atm most people check the guestbook regularly but rarely the forum the use...

Re: using the middle mouse button

I used to play a guy from US on minesweeperlive.com who used the middle button. Actually, the first version of the applet in that site didn't support double-clicking (as in left+right) but did support the middle button. That basically ment you were forced to play NF (as most of the people did) or tr...

Re: using the middle mouse button

Ronny says: Nope, never tried it. (I don't even have a good middle mouse button ). I did play 2-handed (NF) a short while (clicking with 1 hand and moving with the other), but that was simply because of an injury (it wasn't fast by the way). Re: UK Tournament - 20 June 2009

Heya! Great job Damien. It was the best possible weekend for me :P since very few swedes would fly away that weekend (it's the year's biggest holiday for them here, Midsummer) so the plane tickets are really cheap :). I don't have that many vacation days for the trip but i was thinking of sth like f...

Re: Possible UK 2009 Tournament

This sounds really promising Damien :D. June in Scotland would be great, I just checked with Ryanair and it flies to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, so I could in theory make a real Glasgow-Stirling-Edinburgh journey ;) landing at one of them and departing from the other. The only minus with the UK is t...

Re: Roman Gammel 42.68 on ViennaSweeper

@Ronny: It was not officially accepted then excepting for tournaments, but the IMC officially accepted the vsweep home edition a couple of months ago. Why should it be removed? I believe that it is the best clone out there, it doesnt have as much as clone/arb in terms of built-in statistics (althou...
