Quest for the Hoard - Game Overview

Quest for the Hoard was originally written for the Apple IIGS by Ken Burtch in 1991. Ed Brzezinski converted it to MS-DOS in 1993 for Pegasoft.

The game has single player and multi-player mode. Single player mode gives you 6 minutes to accumulate points. Multi-player mode allows up to 6 players to keep taking turns accumulating points in turns of either 3 minutes, 1 minute or 30 seconds. The object of the game is to find hidden treasure. You complete a level by marking each piece of treasure with a spell and you move up levels until you run out of time. The highscore list shows the best 50 single player scores. Instead of numbers the squares change colour depending on how many adjacent squares contains treasure. You open squares with a left click and can open multiple squares by holding the left button down and dragging it across the screen.
