Minefield! - Game Overview

Minefield is a Relentless Logic clone written in 1995 for DOS by Jeremy Pflasterer.

The original game was an 8x6 grid and you could choose 0 to 40 mines with no scoring system. You start in the top left corner and navigate to the bottom right corner with the detector telling you the number of adjacent mines. Later versions increased the grid to 16x12 with 0 to 90 mines and introduced a Tournament mode where you start with 25 mines and each time you win 1 mine is added. You get 5 points for marking a mine, 10 points for completing a level but are punished 3 points for restarting a level with a new layout of mines.

Version 1.1 was a very basic version of Relentless Logic with no scores. Version 2.0 comes with a larger 16x12 grid with up to 90 mines and introduced Tournament mode.
