Minefield was published in 1981 for the ZX81 by R & R Software.

You must guide a tank , using the cursor keys (5-8), from the bottom left to the top right of the map avoiding any obstacles. Mines have been laid at random and if you run into one you will lose a life and must restart. Once exploded it is safe to pass that mine on future moves.

The obstacles are water, buildings and trees. The map is the same for every game but the mine locations change. You have nine lives and the only clue is stepping on a mine. If you remember your path you should be able to cross the minefield.

Minefield was advertised for the ZX81 16K but only used 5K.

The following attributes can be used to map the evolution of Minesweeper. Blue cells are confirmed attributes for official versions of Minefield. Yellow cells are unknown.
