Minefields (1982)

Overview
Minefields was written for the ZX81 in 1982 by D. G. Lomas.

Formula One racing drivers might be able to handle our Minefields game for the 16K ZX-81. Your mission is to steer across 10 minefields at a dizzying speed using cursor keys 6 and 7. Cross a field successfully and you will find that your next trip will be more difficult. We found ourselves out of breath after each excursion, because of the speed or because we were destroyed. Perhaps a little PAUSE somewhere.

You move at a fixed speed and need to avoid visible mines. Each of the 10 levels has more mines and you progress to the next level whether you live or die. A score is calculated after the 10 levels have been played. Your score is the number of moves forward (maximum 32 per level) less a 5 point penalty for each lost level...thus the maximum score is 320 points.
