You've been dropped by parachute into the lower left-hand corner of a minefield, and your objective is to reach the opposite (upper right-hand) corner. Mines are randomly distributed in the 16x16 grid. Luckily, you have with you a functioning mine detector! Not-so luckily, your mine detector only tells you HOW MANY mines surround you, NOT where they are!
Unlike most Minefield games of the time this version also counts diagonally.
Minefield was published alongside the game City Bomber on the same cassette.
The following attributes can be used to map the evolution of Minesweeper. Blue cells are confirmed attributes for official versions of Minefield. Yellow cells are unknown.
