"You are testing an infra-red sighting device on a high plateau. This device allows you to see the mines scattered around the area and the commandos who are your opposition. The commandos cannot see as it is pitch dark but can hear your movements and will home in on you. You must lure them onto the mines or get them to kill each other by accident to avoid capture. Choose from nine levels of difficulty."
The game was advertised as Minefield in April 1983 but the surviving copy for the MZ-700 is called Commando Plain and is copyright 1982. It was also released for the Tatung Einstein computer in a games pack along with a game called Nightmare Park by the same publisher.
