The game was also published by Cronosoft in 2020 on a Super Programs 9 cassette. When you run the program you can select your preferred keys for up, down, left, up, open and flag. You can press 1 for Beginner (10 mines), 2 for Intermediate (40 mines) or 3 for Expert (80 mines). When all bombs are marked the game ends. Unlike Windows Minesweeper, placing a flag on the wrong cell immediately loses the game.
Games on the compilation include OXO, Znake, Calculus Maximus, Rubik's 1K, Path Maze, Hidden Picture Draw, Letris, Lingo, Finger Twister and Minesweeper for £6.95.
Game instructions say "Finally MineSweeper is coded in 1K for the ZX81. All levels (beginner, advanced and expert) can be played."
The following attributes can be used to map the evolution of Minesweeper. Blue cells are confirmed attributes for official versions of Minesweeper 1K. Yellow cells are unknown.
