The minefield is full of casualties, and you have to push a wheelchair (!) around the minefield, avoiding the mines and the electrified fence, collect each casualty and bring him or her to hospital (the flashing +). Note that the wheel chair can only carry one person at a time. What a wonderful scenario for a game. User-defined graphics are in lines 100, 150 and 500.
There are 5 speed levels with 20 mines and 20 casualties (Level 5 is the easiest). You lose by hitting a mine, walking into the fence or by collecting more than one person before emptying the wheelchair. You navigate using W (up), X (down), A (left), D (right).
The game was later published as Mine-Field in the book "Getting Started On Your Commodore VIC 20" (1983).
The following attributes can be used to map the evolution of Minesweeper. Blue cells are confirmed attributes for official versions of Skilful Driving. Yellow cells are unknown.
