Explore underground labyrinths in search of untold fortune in Microsoft Treasure Hunt!
Treasure Hunt is a clone of Adventure mode from the Windows 8 version of Microsoft Minesweeper and similarly has advertisements unless you pay a subscription. The main difference is a Greedy Mummy Store every five levels where you can buy items with your gold coins; the most interesting item is an amulet that respawns your character to your most recently visited Greedy Mummy Store level. If you find a lucky clover it will double your coins for one level and if you see a golden staircase you can descend to play a bonus level. Similarly to Microsoft Minesweeper there are various monsters such as snakes and bats.
There are 20 achievements you can unlock. These are Bonus Level Bonanza (collect 1000 gold coins in bonus levels), Apprentice Hunter (defeat 3 monsters), Good Start (reach the exit on level 1), Had to Happen Sometime (trigger your first trap), Pyromaniac (purchase the 8 dynamite bag), Master Miner (purchase the 10 pickaxe belt), No Sense of Direction (purchase the 15 map tube), Death Cannot Stop Me (purchase 3 amulets in one game), King of Compassion (have 5 hearts), Extra Careful (reach the exit on level 11 without using flags), Didn't even Break a Sweat (reach level 12 without dying or respawning), Efficient Shopper (enter a shop with more than 500 gold coins without spending anything), I'm Rich (gather 5,000,000 gold coins), No Stone Unturned (dig all dirt tiles without traps on any level), We need More Explosions (use dynamite 8 times during one level), Maybe invest in a GPS (use a map 20 times), Why did it have to be Bats (defeat 5 bats without defeating other monsters in-between), King of Chording (dig 1000 dirt tiles by chording), Money is Evil (reach level 3 without picking up any gold or treasure), Totally Decked Out (purchase all items and hearts upgrades).
The Microsoft Store states that "Microsoft Treasure Hunt builds on Microsoft Minesweeper for Windows Adventure mode experience".
