The earliest known advertisement is from January 1980 in Practical Computing Magazine. It was sold in a game pack with 20 games on either disk or cassette tape for £23. The advert stated, "All originals, most with super graphics". A few months later in May 1980 the company was selling a games pack with 74 "common BASIC games" on one tape for £15.
The following attributes can be used to map the evolution of Minesweeper. Blue cells are confirmed attributes for official versions of Minefield. Yellow cells are unknown.
