Minesweeper has come a long way since the days of the 9 X 9 grid! In Minesweeper Flags, you can choose to play the classic grid game if you like, but if you’re looking for real action, check out the Flags mode where you must secure the mines instead of avoiding them. Minesweeper Flags also delivers exciting multiplayer action for up to four players, deep stats to track your rankings, ratings and true skill score, fun new achievements and an all-new action packed single player campaign mode.
Minesweeper Flags is a variant of the MSN Messenger version with three modes. Classic mode is similar to Microsoft Minesweeper with three levels (9*9 with 10 mines, 16*16 with 40 mines, 30*16 with 99 mines) and the aim is to open the safe cells in the fastest time. Flags mode is Minesweeper Flags but with the bomb option removes and three levels (9*9 with 10 mines, 16*16 with 51 mines, 20*20 with 71 mines) and the aim is to flag more mines than your opponent. Campaign mode is essentially Classic mode but with irregular 2D grids in 3D landscapes and you have 3 lives to continue sweeping as you travel to different places. There are Xbox leaderboards and you are assigned a skill rating.
The original game cost 400 points. In 2023, the full game cost $4.99.
