Miny
Clever Mines was written for DOS in 1999 by Petr Laštovička then ported to Windows in 2001.
Looking for mines on triangle or square fields. You needn't have luck to win. The computer transposes the mines during a game. The computer will help you at the moments when numbers don't give enough information to make a reasonable move.
The game can be played with squares or triangular tile patterns. The 3 grid sizes are Beginner (12x9 with 20 mines), Intermediate (23x15 with 63 mines) and Expert (32x18 with 104 mines). For each size you can choose a density of either 12%, 15%, 18%, 21% or 24% and the Highscore list saves your best 10 times for each density, size and tile pattern. In addition to size and density you can choose 5 difficulty levels ranging from Easy (guessing is always safe) to Very Hard (guessing is always deadly).
Other options are the ability to choose your own colours for each number, start the game with a safe click or to open squares are either button press or release. The game comes in 7 languages (English, Catalan, French, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Czech) and you can play Custom games.
