Miner - Game Overview

Miner was written for DOS in 1996 by Jiří Hartmann.

Miner has 3 difficulty levels (8x8 with 10 mines, 16x16 with 40 mines, 30x16 with 96 mines) and Custom. You can flag but there is no chording. The Highscore list saves your best time per level and there is an "All Star" list of the best known global times. Miner has menus in Czech, Slovakian, English and German and you can change the background colour.

Another feature of the game is a solver called "Demo". If you open enough squares, Demo will solve squares it can logically deduce.
