Mine Sweeper
Minesweeper was written for the HP48 in 1993 by Garth Sweet.
If your familiar with other varieties of these find the mines games, then what you need to know is Mine Sweeper is a game very similiar to ones already created for the HP48 by HP themselves and by one or two other authors, but with the difference that while thier's is a find the path type game, mine is a find all the bombs type game (Much like the Mine Sweeper available with some versions of Microsoft Windows). The basic idea of the game then is to search an 18x7 grid filled with a number of mines and try to find and mark all of them without making any mistakes (mistakes make you go Kaboom!). To help you any square in the grid without a mine can tell you how many mines are around it (0-8), with enough information from sqaures adjacent to the mine, you can tell exactly where the mine is (with a little practice).
There are 6 levels with 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 mines. You flag by pressing [0] and open cells by pressing [*]. Incorrectly flagging a cell loses the game. There is a mine counter but no scoring system. Version 1.1 does not auto-clear openings.
