Minefield was written in 1983 in Sinclair BASIC by Simon Gould.
The original game was published in Games For Your ZX81 (1983) and More Games For Your ZX Spectrum (1983) with Graham Carter updating it for Games For Your MSX Computer (1985). You must cross the minefield using a mine detector. At the start of the game you can select 2 to 35 mines. When you lose, the locations of mines are shown. You have 100 seconds to find a path. When you win a new game begins with the message, "Stand by for next field".
There is a basic scoring which multiplies something by 100 and the grid appears to be 28x19...but please check the code and let @admin know!
In June 1984, the ZX81 version of the game was published in Sinclair Programs magazine and falsely credited to Jason Williams.
