The objective of Hex Minesweeper is to locate all the mines in the mine field as quickly as possible. To do this you must Expose all of the hexes that do not contain mines and Mark all of the hexes that do not contain mines. If you uncover all of the hexes without mines, and mark all of the hexes with mines then you win. If you uncover a hex that contains a mines then you lose. The faster you play, the faster your time and the better your score.
The difficulty levels are 10 mines (9x14), 40 mines (20x26) and 99 mines (28x34) or Custom. Hexmines saves your best highscore for the three standard levels. Game was Shareware for $9.95. You can now register Hex Minesweeper for free by using the number 10 for your PIN on the registration screen.
