Minesweeper for DOS - Game Overview

Minesweeper for DOS was written in 1993 by David Joffe.

I wrote this program back when I was in high school. At that stage I had been programming less than a year, and the inexperience shows here. That is to say, the program is an uncommented mess of spaghetti code :-). Still, I thought some people might find this useful, fun or inspiring (I hope :) I have quite long since moved on to more advanced and professional programming, but I think I had the most programming fun during my BASIC programming days :-).

The one difficulty level is 8x8 with 10 mines and the game saves your best score. You can flag and use questionmarks but there is no chording. The game is essentially a direct clone of Beginner from Windows Minesweeper.

Source code in QuickBasic 4.5 and 7.1 is provided with the program.
