Radiation
Moraff's Radiation was written for Windows in April 1996 by Steve Moraff.
Moraff's Radiation is a vast improvement over the original concept of minesweeper! Cute animations, neat sound and spectacular backgrounds make this a must! This great game has the following features:
Great 3D ray-traced image pieces! Photo backdrops from NASA and the Hubble Telescope! Multiple board sizes and levels of difficulty! Remembers your favorite settings! High-scores are kept from game to game! Slick 'Moraff' popup menu system for full screen play! Cool sound effects! Neat little animations! Best puzzle game ever made! Windows '95(tm) compatible, (32 bit version also available).
The most interesting featue of the game is the ability to have different backgrounds hidden under the grid and unlimited lives. There are multiple difficulty levels ranging from 16x12 to 50x40 and for each level you can choose a density ranging with a bomb in every 3 to 8 squares. Your best Highscore is saved per level.
MoraffWare released a 16 bit and 32 bit version of the game. Radiation was Shareware with 20 games sold on a CD for $49.
