Narkomania was written in 1996 for Windows by Kostas Symeonidis.

A very cool Minesweeper clone. Bill Gates should take a look at this. His favorite game, has become a lot lot better. Detailed High Scores, Speed Graphs, Special Cheat modes for the impatient people. This program has been written for educational purposes by Kostas Symeonidis and his students in Data Station, Thessaloniki.

Narkomania saves your best 100 winning, losing and cheated games. Cheated games use the Hint feature or the famous XYZZY cheat. It is also possible to replay the previous game or choose the seed. An unique feature is that openings also open "obvious" safe squares, which makes it possible to win games much more quickly than Windows Minesweeper. There is an option to start games with an opening and there is a speed graph showing how quickly you are finding mines.

The five difficulty levels are Beginner (8x8 with 10 mines), Intermediate (16x16 with 40 mines), Expert (30x16 with 99 mines), Huge (40x30 with 200 mines) and Challenge (40x24 with 200 mines). Custom ranges from 8x4 with 10 mines to 40x30 with 255 mines.
