MineSweeper was written for DOS in 1996 by Dominik Kaspar of Kaswoj Software.
Everyone who's got Windows should know this game. In this version, you have to cross the field from one corner to the other, without hitting a mine. It is possible to adjust the game difficulty and there's also a high score to it. Installation may seem a little awkward to you since it has to be started from the DOS-prompt...but if you manage it, the game might please you...
The game is a 16x16 grid and you must cross from the top left to the bottom right corner. You score points by taking fewer moves and less time. The Highscore list saves your 10 highest scores. Unlike most "Find Path" games you cannot move diagonally even though the detector counts diagonally.
The game was originally written in German in 1996 then updated to English in 1998. It comes with source code in QuickBASIC. To run the game you need QuickBASIC 4.5 installed and then to run SETUP once.
