Mines32 - Game Overview


Mines32 was written for Windows in 1997 by Daniel Herrscher.

The game has four difficulty levels which are Easy (8x8 with 12 mines and 4 hints), Standard (24x16 with 55 mines and 3 hints), Difficult (30x16 with 88 mines and 1 hint) and Hard (30x24 with 170 mines and 1 hint). The Hint feature opens a safe move. The Highscore list save the best 5 scores per level. In addition to sound effects an interesting feature is the ability to resize the game by clicking arrows.

Minew32 was originally written for DOS in 1993 and Herrscher won 9th place in the IBM Leonardo da Vinci competition. The prize was lots of OS/2 games.
